My hotel room is becoming smaller and smaller, but I’m too afraid to venture outside. Why tempt fate?
Today I spent the day notifying clients that we had to cancel their October trips to Israel. (Sometimes being in the travel business sucks.)
Everyone was appropriately concerned and disappointed. Most were understanding and supportive. Some wanted to know how much of a refund they’d get and when they’d get it. Seriously?!? Others want letters to send to their travel insurance providers to submit claims. OY!!!
Schools are still closed. People must stay off the roads so the police and army can track down infiltrating terrorists. Tanks were blown up in the north. More soldiers were called up. People are in hysteria over loved ones being held captive. The reports on TV are both frightening and depressing…. I challenge anyone to work “normally” under these circumstances!!! The good news… my work was only interrupted twice by bomb shelter visits.
The highlight of my day? Other than zooming with my siblings to check in (we’re all okay
), my grandsons (4.5 and 3) apparently think I’m a Power Ranger fighting evil forces in Israel!!! ![]()
I only wish I could fight the bad guys
